Andrew Wilson
Is Wednesday’s highest capped player with 560 appearances in a career that spanned 19 years with the Sheffield club. He also has the prestigious accolade of being the clubs highest ever goal scorer. Joining Wednesday from Clyde in 1900 he stayed at the Hillsborough club until 1919/1920 in which he retired and focused on management. Whilst at Sheffield Wednesday Wilson gained international recognition and represented Scotland 7 times between 1907 – 1914 for a goal scorer of his calibre he should of gained more caps.
