Long before Chris Waddle had joined Sheffield Wednesday he was already recognised as one of Europe’s finest attacking talents. Joining Wednesday from Marseilles for £1 million pounds in July 1992 he would go on to feature prominently in a 4 year period in which Wednesday would be renowned for playing skillfull, attacking football. Waddle was renowned as being extremely skilful with a venomous as well as a superb crossing ability. He made 147 appearances for Sheffield Wednesday in 4 years scoring 15 goals and was an integral part of Ron Atkinson’s Wednesday team.
